Coronation Trout - Original Un-Stretched 1 of 1

This piece was inspired by one of the most memorable fish I've caught - my very first Coronation Trout. There's something special about finally catching a species you've admired for so long, and the colours were even more incredible in person that I could have imagined. 

Creating this artwork was my way of capturing that moment and paying tribute to one of the reef's most striking fish. The dotwork throughout the background represent the connection between Sea Country, the reef and all the life it supports. Every part of the reef has its own story and every species has its place.
